What Is Reiki

• Reiki is a Japanese name given by Dr. Mikao Usui who rediscovered it towards the end of nineteenth century through Divine Blessings. ‘Rei’ means universal, ‘Ki’ means life force energy.
  
  
• This is also commonly known as Cosmic energy which sustains life. When its level is low or its flow is inadequate or interrupted, we feel sick or diseased.
  
  
• Gautam Buddha, Jesus Christ and many saints had healing touch. It was Dr. Mikao Usui who was bestowed with spiritual healing capability through Divine Grace in the end of 19th century and out of love and concern he shared this system with common people for their welfare.  Reiki practitioners are empowered to channelise this energy through their palms for healing. They can also send it for distance healing.
  
  
• Reiki is a spiritual healing art. It is God’s energy and being unconditional, it can be used by all.

• This drugless, harmless & skill-less therapy rejuvenates. One feels filled with peace, vitality and joy – a sense of well being.

• There are two levels in Traditional Reiki (first and second degree) for treatment of self and others and each level can be learnt in TWO days class normally held on weekends. Second degree can be learnt after 21days self treatment after learning First degree. During this period physical toxins and mental negativities start getting cleansed.
  
  
• During the class after the "attunement" (or empowerment) is given to the participants by the Reiki Master, they can feel the presence of Reiki in their palms. During attunement some of Chakras located on Aura are activated by Reiki Master. By placing hands on own body or other's body, treatment can be given to self or others after learning first degree. Presence of energy in the palms can be felt by the recipient or patient also.
  
  
• All the applications and techniques for using Reiki are shared with the participants in the class who are exposed to practical experiencing.
  
  
• At second degree level Reiki can be sent for distant healing. Every one experiences this phenomenon in the class after learning the techniques.
