About Reiki Kendra
Reiki Kendra founded and established by Dr. Amar Kumar in 1998, is one of the oldest "Reiki Training and Treatment Centre" in the country duly registered with Govt. of West Bengal and Govt. Of India, located in Alipore in Kolkata - a prime location and easy to reach.
Thousands of people have benefitted from learning Reiki here in its purest form. Reiki Kendra's mission is to make Reiki available to people in its purest and traditional form and it has been organising training workshops in various parts of the country and abroad with Dr Amar Kumar as course conductor. In last so many years Reiki has been introduced by him in places like Malda, Burdwan, Chandannagore, Durgapur, Chakdah, Binnaguri, Gwalior etc. Workshops are also held in Mumbai, Delhi, Jamshedpur, Patna, Dhanbad, Asansol etc.
Reiki was also introduced for first time in Malaysia, Africa etc. He has also conducted Reiki classes in Bangladesh.
Reiki Kendra is also initiating action for covering corporate world for equipping executives with Reiki as a tool for managing their stressful lives.
Dr. Amar Kumar is a well known Traditional Reiki Master Teacher (highest level attainable in Reiki, equivalent to Grand Master) and is a registered medical practitioner with Indian Board of Alternate Medicine.
His Reiki lineage is Dr. Mikao Usui, Dr. Chugiro Hayashi, Mrs. Hawayo Takata, Barbara Weber Ray, Maureen O Toole, Kate Nani, Paula Horan, Karl Everding, Barbara Szepan, P. D. Patel and P Dutta.
Dr. Amar Kumar has intensive experience in other healing arts also, such as Yoga, Five Tibetan Rites, Art of Living, Past Life Regression, Nadi Prana Release, Pranik Healing, Fire Walking etc. He gives a lot of importance to daily meditation practice and in the reiki classes exposes participants to meditation techniques developed by him. One is amazed with the depth in meditiation experienced in 2 days reiki classes.
He is a graduate Mechanical Engineer (BIT, Ranchi) and an MBA (XLRI Jamshedpur). He opted to pursue Reiki on full time basis after taking pre-mature separation, seven years prior to retirement, resigning the post of Senior Vice President in Birla Group.
He is a very senior Reiki Master in the country and has vast experience in healing various physical and mental chronic diseases etc.
Dr. Amar Kumar is well known for his devotion to healing and has clients in many countries, who seek distance Reiki healing sessions from him.
For almost about five years he conducted monthly workshop sponsored by Sri Aurobindo Institute of Culture at their premises at Regent Park, Kolkata. Sri Aurobindo Institute of Culture also started a Reiki clinic with trained Reiki Practitioners under his supervision, which was run very systematically with support of trained staff.
