"Reiki Kendra"
founded by Dr. Amar Kumar, established in 1998, is one of the
oldest "Reiki Training and Treatment Centre" in the country duly
registered with Govt. of West Bengal and Govt. Of India, located
in Alipore in Kolkata - a prime location and easy to reach.
Thousands of people
have benefitted from learning Reiki here in its purest form.
Reiki Kendra's mission is to make Reiki available to people
in its purest and traditional form and it has been organising training workshops in various parts of the
country and abroad with Dr Amar Kumar as course conductor.
In last so many years Reiki has been introduced in places
like Malda, Burdwan, Chandannagore, Durgapur, Chakdah,
Binnaguri, Gwalior etc. Workshops are also held in Mumbai,
Delhi, Jamshedpur, Patna etc.
Reiki was also
introduce for first time in Malaysia, Africa etc.
Reiki Kendra is also
initiating action for covering corporate world for equipping
executives with Reiki as a tool for managing their stressful
lives.
Dr. Amar Kumar is a well known Traditional
Reiki Master Teacher (highest level attainable in Reiki, equivalent
to Grand Master) and is a registered medical practitioner with Indian
Board of Alternate Medicine.
He has very
rich experience in healing various physical and mental chronic diseases
etc.
Dr. Amar Kumar is well known for his devotion to healing and has clients in many countries.
He personally gives a lot of importance to daily meditation
practice and shares the same with his Reiki students since meditation
experiences become much more intense with Reiki practice.
His Reiki lineage is Dr. Mikao Usui, Dr. Chugiro Hayashi, Mrs. Hawayo
Takata, Barbara Weber Ray, Maureen O Toole, Kate Nani, Paula Horan,
Karl Everding, Barbara Szepan, P. D. Patel and P Dutta.
For almost about five years he conducted monthly
workshop sponsored by Sri Aurobindo Institute of Culture at their
premises at Regent Park, Kolkata. Sri Aurobindo Institute
of Culture also started a Reiki clinic with trained Reiki Practitioners
under his supervision, which was run very systematically with support
of trained staff.
From October 2006 Reiki workshops sponsord by
Tiny Tots School (1B,Judges Court Road, Alipur, Kolkata - 700027) are held every month at their premises
Dr. Amar
Kumar has intensive experience in other healing arts also, such as, Yoga,
Five Tibetan Rites, Art of Living, Past Life Regression, Nadi Prana
Release, Pranik Healing, Fire Walking etc.
He is a graduate
mechanical engineer (BIT, Ranchi) and an MBA (XLRI Jamshedpur).
He opted to pursue Reiki on full time basis after taking pre-mature
separation, seven years prior to retirement, resigning the post
of senior vice president in Birla Group,
